There is no doubt that the IO-117 70cm digipeater satellite is gaining worldwide popularity. To the point that nowadays, every decent DXpedition is almost expected to operate on GreenCube as well.
Of course, full credit to activators, but we have to recognize the obvious: it is the mighty IC-9700 fully duplex sat radio that has opened the doors to thousands of amateurs worldwide to discover and enjoy satellites like never before.
DXObsessed is an American gang, currently operating from Vanuatu as YJ0TT. A photo showing the IO-117 setup: IC-9700 and a small 70cm yagi pointing to the satellite, handing a new one to the deserving. What fun.
As a proud owner of an IC-9700, I cannot be happier with its performance. It is worth every cent.
