Quite frankly, I don’t know what is worse: a broken rope or a tangled one? Sometimes, the only solution is the most radical one. Chop it off, untangle it, raise it up. What would I do without the help of a young and enthusiastic local with a telescopic pole saw? As always: safety first!
I need to pick your brain: is there an easy way to match this inverted L antenna with Z: 70.5-27.9J to 50 ohm? No capacitor’s here, just some copper 8mm tubing. If only I brought with me that ACOM external antenna tuner!
There is also a massive birdie right on 1840. It wasn’t there a few months ago. Could it be a neighbour’s electric fence? Christmas decoration? Solar panels inverter? Investigation pending. Another ‘to do’ job on the list.
