IC-7851 end of production – APRIL

To many, IC-7851 is one of the best HF transceivers ever made. A radio in it’s own league, the pinnacle of modern Japanese engineering. Sadly, ICOM has decided that the time to retire this legendary radio has come.

In a way, I guess, this is good news for those who have invested wisely, and on time.  To them, their beloved 7851 will remain the crown piece in the shack. They will continue to enjoy it’s unparalleled performance for many years to come. And equally importantly, to enjoy membership in the exclusive club of 7851 owners.

DXing is pleased to let you know that we have a few IC-7851 in stock. These are probably the last brand new radios available for sale not only in Australia, but world-wide (If you can find another one for sale, in stock, please do let us know).

To point out the obvious: we are not in a hurry to get rid of the last 7851s. On the contrary – we are happy to guard them and keep them for the right buyer who will eventually knock on our door, excited that he has found this hidden gem.
