Yesterday I reached out to Dave, VK0DS on Antarctica. Dave is super active making thousands of chasers happy. Regardless of band and mode, VK0 is a great catch. Would it be possible to snatch him on 6m? Here is his reply:

“Hi Nick, no luck on 6m, even with the really big guns from south africa and europe, including trying eme.

14,200 contacts now on FT8 HF, and I get a few hundred a day especially while 10 metres is working so well.

Running a Barrett 2050 and amp into a massive Tandem delta omni, fed with full power. 😉 as well as the IC756p3 on the Vee beam array.

23cm has just about finished now, the blizzards have bent the dish a bit, so sun noise rise is only 8 dB. Have to pack everything up soon.
