It has been exactly a week since a group of mostly Italian amateurs landed in Hargeisa, Somalia. They were expected to hit the airwaves shortly upon arrival, but as I type this, they are still waiting for customs clearance of 500kg of radio equipment. One could only imagine the frustration of being so close to pileups, yet being forced to sit and wait quietly and patiently. Months of preparation, tens of thousands of dollars spent.

This is the horn of Africa, where things work at their own pace, when they work at all.

Keep an eye on 6O3T over the coming days, a rare one by all measures.
