“The RX “Loop-on-Ground” – 200m away from the powerline, but still catching the noise…”

Almost every day, fifteen minutes before local sunset, a loud PX0FF appears on 80m band, CQing in my face. It would be an easy QSO – except, our expeditioners at Fernando De Noronha suffer a terrible interference on low bands from faulty street lights.

They’ve made numerous ‘please fix it’ requests to the local energy supplier, but no luck so far.

Remaining hopeful.
